Ruislip RFC Return to Rugby Update, February 2021

Earlier this week, the RFU published the following message as a Community Game Update: ‘We welcome last night’s Government announcement that grassroots team sport including community rugby can return on Monday 29 March. Over the coming weeks, we will work with Government to understand the number of players and format of rugby that will be permitted upon our return in both schools and community rugby. When we have clarified these details, and associated travel queries, we will share the Return to Community Rugby Roadmap alongside a step-by-step guide to returning to training and guidance around facilities re-opening’.

The Committee wants you all to know that we are on the case and will publish our return plans as soon as we can. We have been consistently working behind the scenes throughout lockdown across a number of areas and this has included plans for how we bring the clubhouse and pitches back into use. Our priority will be to ensure a safe return to normal operation for all club members as soon as is practically possible. We hope you appreciate that this will take a little time as the safety of all our members is a top priority. Please bear with us and look out for more communications from us over the next couple of weeks. We are doing our utmost to get the show back on the road!
